Children's Hospital and Research Center Foundation supports the expert diagnosis, treatment and follow up care of sick children as well as the research and development of new therapies and cures for children's diseases. The Foundation raises funds for Children's Hospital and Research Center Oakland, the largest, busiest and most comprehensive pediatric facility between Seattle and Los Angeles. The Hospital takes pride in caring for all children, especially the urban poor, most of whom have no private health care coverage. For more than 97 years, our tradition has been to turn no child away because of lack of funds.

Currently, less than 17% of every dollar raised by Children's Hospital and Research Center Foundation goes to administrative and fund-raising costs -- proof of our lean operations and our accountability to our donors.
